The New Glasgow Youth Choir will engage children in meaningful experiences of high-quality music education and performance. Our members will engage in community performances, festivals and retreats throughout the season. 

The New Glasgow Youth Choir strives to provide high quality music instruction so that members develop musicianship and skills in vocal performance  by maintaining a strong, collaborative presence within local, regional and provincial music education and performance communities.

The New Glasgow Youth Choir provides performance opportunities throughout the year for its members.  Highlights of the season include the Holiday Concert in December and the Spring Concert in May.

Raffle Box Fundraiser

On Saturday May 3, 2025 the NGYC performed at the New Glasgow Music Festival's  Stars of the Festival and was awarded the following award:

Festival Award of $50 donated by the New Glasgow Music Festival, and

 

New Glasgow Music Festival Award of $200 donated by Donum Optimi Society & Trinity United Church Choir.

​​

The NGYC was also nominated to Provincials!  Congratulations!

Community Engagement

 

 

​On June 14, 2025 the NGYC performed at the Museum of Industry as part of its Family Day Event which marked the museum's 30th anniversary.  It was a great day and we were so pleased to be part of this celebration.

ATLANTIC FESTIVAL OF MUSIC!

On May 1, 2025 the NGYC travelled to Halifax to participate in the Atlantic Festival of Music.  The choir had an opportunity to participate in a workshop with Kellie Walsh which was a wonderful opportunity for all.  And the choir received a GOLD stand for their performance!
